How do I mend a broken heart and maybe win back my ex at the same time? I hear questions like this a lot. You need to remember three key facts.

First, you need to fell good about yourself. Feeling this way, not only enhances your own mental well being, but it actually enhances the way your ex feels about you as well. So, how do you do this?

Get out of the house. No couch potato behavior for you. Be with your friends, Do things you like to do whether it is going to movies or shows, trips to the mall, a round of golf or a trip to the bowling alley. Keep up your physical appearance, your grooming and dress standards. Regardless of whatever else happens, you will feel better for simply making sure you stay active and involved, you have taken a big step towards mending a broken heart.

Second, at this point is do not contact your ex. You both need space. If winning your ex back is your goal, you need them to miss you. Staying away helps accomplish that, being clingy works against it. Staying away also gives you the time to reflect on just what went wrong and to seriously consider if you want the relationship rekindled. Again, staying away, and doing things that enhance your own well being will not only make you feel better, but will also make you more attractive to everybody else, your ex included.

Third, once your head is clear and you are feeling good about yourself, you can start to think about renewing contact with your ex. It is good to have a plan in place before you do this, one that shows you how to consider all of your possible options, and follows a cohesive strategy aimed at getting your ex back.
